Lash Like a Boss

Here is a lesson on how to apply strip lashes for beginners:

Materials:

• Strip lashes
• Lash glue
• Tweezers (optional)

Steps:

1. Measure the lash. Hold the lash towards the end, not the middle, and place it along your lash line to measure. The lash should not go past the center of your eye, but should extend towards the end of your lash line. If the lash is too long, trim the end with scissors.
2. Increase flexibility of the lash (optional). If the lash feels stiff, bend it back and forth gently between your thumb and forefinger to loosen it up. This will make it easier to conform to the curve of your eye.
3. Practice applying the lash without glue (optional). Tilt your head back and hold the mirror so you can see your upper eyelid. Hold the lash with the tweezers or your fingers by the end, and position it over your lash line, starting at the outer corner and working your way inward. Get a feel for how you want the lash to look before applying glue.
4. Apply glue to the lash. Apply a thin line of lash glue along the lash line of the false lash. Let the glue dry for about 75-80% until it turns a dark gray color. You can use a blow dryer on medium setting to speed up this process.
5. Apply the lash. Tilt your head back and look down into the mirror. Using the tweezers or your fingers, apply the lash to your lash line, starting at the center and working your way outward. Press the lash gently but firmly to secure it in place.
6. Fix any mistakes. If the lash is not positioned correctly, don’t panic. You can use a cotton swab dipped in makeup remover to gently remove the lash glue and reposition the lash.
7. Apply mascara (optional). You can apply mascara to your natural lashes and the false lashes to blend them together and create a more seamless look.
8. Pinch to blend (optional). Use your fingers to gently pinch your natural lashes together with the false lashes. This will help to hide any gaps between your natural lashes and the false lashes.
